Review & Rating Policy

Reviews are intended to help patients share genuine experiences and provide insights for other users.

Reviews are subjective opinions, not objective medical assessments.

You may submit a review if you:

• Have had a consultation, telehealth appointment, procedure, or surgery with the surgeon, OR
• Attended their medical practice as a patient (or guardian/parent of a patient).

We may request supporting evidence to verify authenticity.

To maintain review integrity, we may use:

• Email verification
• CAPTCHA protection
• Duplicate content checks
• IP address monitoring
• Fraud detection systems
• Manual moderation by administrative staff

Reviews must:

• Be honest, respectful, and factual to the reviewer's experience
• Not contain defamatory, harmful, abusive, or discriminatory statements
• Not include private medical information of third parties
• Not include confidential clinic or staff information
• Not include pricing or billing complaints intended to defame

Surgeons may:

• Respond professionally to reviews,
• Request removal of defamatory or false statements,
• Request correction of factual inaccuracies,
• Claim their profile and manage practice information.

We do not remove reviews at the request of surgeons unless they breach this policy.

We may edit or decline reviews that include:

• Personal attacks
• Hate speech or abusive language
• Allegations of criminal behaviour
• Specific claims of negligence or malpractice
• Identifiable patient data
• Profanity
• Irrelevant content
• Advertising or spam

Moderators maintain neutrality and do not arbitrate disputes.

Ratings (1–5 stars) reflect patient sentiment and are averaged from all verified reviews.

Factors influencing ratings may include:

• Communication
• Bedside manner
• Professionalism
• Clinic experience
• Wait times
• Perceived outcome

We may remove or redact reviews that:

• Breach this policy
• Are legally problematic
• Are duplicate or suspicious
• Are posted in bad faith
• Violate privacy laws

We may update this Review Policy to reflect legal, operational, or ethical changes. Updated policies become effective immediately.
